Any updates on the best property in AMS? Conservatorium seems to get high marks, but I don't love contemporary hotels. Thoughts on the Waldorf?

If you don't love contemporary, I'd go with the Waldorf, De L'Europe or Sofitel Grand.
Waldorf is a bit modern though...just not as modern as the Conservatorium.
