A lot of the Hampton Inn's I stay at give me the points (my way selection) then also give me a snack and water and let me get 2 bottles of water each day of stay. Even had a couple let me get a snack every day also. But this is a very much your mileage may vary situation. They are only obligated to give you what you chose on my way.
