I got matched over from Marriott as a Diamond and am still finding my way, no pun intended, with HHonors.

I have mostly stayed at HGIs and HIs. I have been at HIs where the front desk clerk encouraged me to choose a few more items for the arrival gift (I stopped at 3 bottles of water) even though my profile says points (and I got the points). I have also had an HI say points and offered me nothing else - as the rule says ( http://hhonors3.hilton.com/en/explor...its/index.html ). That actually felt sort of awkward with the display of all the items on the counter.

It seems most of the time, they go above and beyond. What has your experience been?
