Seems like there's no such thing as a Cat 3 in greater LA County (Palmdale is 75 miles from LA). My two go to Marriotts in LA, a CY in Torrance next to Toyota and a Fairfield in Covina, just went to Cat 4.

But, there's a less than year old Fairfield in Corona which is a Cat 1. It's an awesome property, with the one exception being the Wi-Fi which will block you if you use any file sharing utility. The am drive into LA is worse than the am drive into Bangkok. If you're doing OC things, like Disneyland, it's a viable option. Just remember, its easily a 75-90 min drive from Corona to Anaheim in the am.
