My point exactly; I remember the GLON awards. I suppose the properties don't want to give away too much profit, but the HHonors program is supposed to work for us, so hence my question...It seems most members don't really find the 5th night free too useful. So maybe Erin can bring forward our suggestions, you don't know if you don't ask.

it used to be that elites received a discount on award bookings for category 3 and above of
- 15% for 4 nights
- 20% for 5 nights
- 25% for 6+ nights
but Hilton abolished that award type (the old GLON/GLONP) in the Great Devaluation of 2013 and replaced it with the much weaker, less useful Fifth Night Free. Restoring the more beneficial GLON/GLONP awards would be wonderful, but I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for Hilton to bring better value to HHonors.
