Every time I call I get a new person and new answers. The others told me that the pin mailer would come by Friday, then Saturday, then one gave a fake tracking number, another told me it hadn't been ordered at all, and now I hear it will come by Tuesday.
A couple of years ago, I had both cards (from the same issuer) blocked prior an int'l trip because of fraud concerns. I called them, and the agent told me not to worry, they mailed the cards to me, I should receive them in one week. I told I'll travel, I'll need the cards, I could explain the purchases, with no avail. They couldn't unlock the cards. Luckily, I was traveling with my wife, and her cards were still working (but both are form the same issuer and connected with my cards). Of course we traveled with a lot of worries.
As soon as we came back, I signed for new cards, from different issuers, to make sure that I'll never have this kind of problem again. Now I always travel with three different cards (Amex, MC & Visa), from three different issuers. And a debit card only, just in case
