It does seem to be the case that the Executive Club will punish you for flying on BA when these other partners compete with them. Mind boggling
But just be careful that you don't book into a partner's fare class that earns nothing, like the 'Z' fare with airberlin. Although the Avios calculator shows earnings for discounted economy, this fare will earn you a big fat zero.

All this despite BA's website saying this ''You'll collect Avios every time you fly with us or any of our oneworld airline partners, with a minimum of 125 Avios per flight.'' More misinformation courtesy of BA.
