Many, but not all. Perhaps not even most. UGs are nice when they come, but I don't choose my flights based on UG chances.
My purchase decision factors in order:
Schedule (incl. frequency)
Price
Product (esp. CS and IRROPS handling)
Probably a bunch of other stuff
Even other things
Upgrades
What other FTers will think of me
Possibility of making a guest appearance in the DYKWIA thread
Outside of the FT/MP crowd, I know very few people who even think about things outside of price and schedule. I rarely get to sit up front except when I've purchased first/biz class ticket. So when I really want to sit up there or need some schedule flexibility, I simply purchase the appropriate fare on whatever airline is offering those amenities for the lowest price.
