I apologize that my response is a little late - I missed out and just heard about the deal a few minutes ago myself - but to help clarify for next time:
In the past, both purchasing and reloading electronic GCs through the Sears website has posted no problem - at least in my experience and nearly all of the other accounts I've read.
There seems to be a mixed stance on physical GCs purchased through the Sears website. I've heard, at least at one point. that they're processed by Kmart and won't post as a Sears purchase. I know other people have shared this understanding as well.
But earlier in the thread, sandie511 mentioned talking with customer support who verified that the points will post, although it's taking much longer than normal and has required at least one inquiry so far.
