If you're arriving at T1C, you'll probably have to walk up a long flight of concrete steps to enter the terminal building. Once inside, it's all inter-connected, so you just need to follow the signs to reach T1A (turn right when you enter the terminal). TIB and T1C have gate security, but T1A has centralised security, so you'll need to pass through a security check as you enter the T1A departure area. It's only about a 5 minute walk, but I don't know what the queues at security will be like.
