This could be very useful for me and my children to get around in Wuhan.
1. The Uber (iOS) app has been in English in the various countries I've used it including China, Japan and Korea. When you start up the app you may see the name of Uber in the local language, and also the driver's name when you book something, but otherwise everything else is displayed in English. I'm not sure if the app itself defaults to another language if you've chosen it for your phone (but from the looks of it you're using English).

2. Uber transactions are cashless. Credit card almost exclusively. In China they have an Alipay option but I don't think it works.

3. You may wish to note that the Chinese authorities are clamping down on the service. Uber's Guangzhou office has just been raided, as you can see from the news. I'm not sure what implications this has on users of the service though.
