IF I use my SW credit card to buy five $500 gift cards, I'd get 25,000 points [10x $2500 total value] as the bonus PLUS 2,500 points for the actual purchase of the cards. Is that the double dip?
I need new appliance but not until next year. I know cards don't expire but am concerned Sears might....

Double dip means buy gift card first and get 10x points +1x points if use SW card and right after that use those gift cards to buy actual merchandise to get another 10x points. So it's like getting 21x points which is awesome. plus SW portal currently has promotion that you earn extra 2500 points if you spend more than 750$. So if you buy your 2500$ appliance today, you will earn 55000 RR points. the thing that makes this sweeter is that these points counts toward CP.
