Yes drive failure is bad (on any scale), no one disputes this. But that has nothing to do with password hashing or password strength!?
That article is 8 years old. No one uses SATA drives for enterprise applications anymore. You may know what you're talking about, but it has nothing to do with what I was talking about or what the thread is about.
