YMMV as to how detailed the inspection of the cards is though at the lounge. I can't remember if they run it through an automatic checking machine to see if it's eligible or not.
Marhaba not only checks for card eligibility but also for specific card number validity via an online system. There is a lot of abuse with people opening a card for the lounge access, then cancelling the account but continuing to use the physical card to access the lounge for 2-3 years more until its expiry date.
