Not sure I agree at all FM. Randy did himself post quite positively above on
THIS very thread - 10 weeks back that he DOES agree the elections were due. Seeing there have been TB resignations SINCE his post of 2 fine folks, the matter is even more urgent one might imagine.
My reading of the following is that Randy was waiting for the Talkboard
to get back to him with input. That being the case I and others are reminding
them of that request. He has an army of elected and non-elected folks there to do just that one of whom admits above there is nothing much for them to do now.
But as it is all being done in secret THIS is the only venue for us to ask their input and progress report, and the response to that is "to give it a rest". Clearly no hurry or desire then for those CURRENTLY in TB to be facing another election. Democracy at work.

Rudi is right, there does seem to be some timing issues that about now should come up for vote again. If I recall in a few comments to the Board, I had suggested that we vote to stagger the members, having the Board decide a good number to come up for renewal this year and vote in a few new members, etc. </font>
These are (well really only a few of them now) ELECTED representatives. The web site indeed calls them
"representative management". Well this year of all years, management is accountable. From a ball club, to a Boy Scout troop, or to Flyer Talk one imagines? No-one puts their name forward for such a role unless they are prepared to be accountable to those who elect them. And if they don't like the deal surely they resign, or simply do not step up to the plate in the first instance?
I apologise in advance to any I may offend by politely asking of these elected folks WHAT precisely it is that they may or may not be doing and achieving. For most of 2002 we have heard Diddley-Squat from any of them on that score. Is that a disclosure record they are pleased with?
We have folks there who are not shy and backward or retiring. Quite the opposite in the majority of cases. So the question remains:
1.) If TalkBoard are NOT doing anything this year, please tell us. Fine by me
2.) If they ARE doing something this year please tell us what it is. Fine by me.
3.) And if answer is 'neither of the above', why have a Talk Board at all?????
