If you want to buy 5 tickets, and only 2 are cheap, then BA sell you all five at the higher price. ALL airlines do the same. The only way to get around this is to make 2 separate bookings, 2 for the cheap seats, and 3 for the pricier seats. You can't have a mix of fare classes on the same booking on the same leg for different people in the same PNR.
