Main advantages for being an Accor Advantage Plus member for me personally here in Australia are
1 "free" night included in membership fee circa Aus$319
10% extra discount for booking rooms so 40% becomes 50% etc
50% discount when dining at participating hotels whether it be b/fast,lunch, dinner for 2 people
That then works on a sliding scale %age wise when more in the group
eg 3 diners = 33%, 4 diners 25% etc ....basically you (the card holder eats free whenever )
Spends on foods at restaurant and charged to rooms also attract points towards Le Club Accor
I do believe that it's actually Le Club Accor that attracts the likes of room upgrades late check outs etc and not the Advantage Plus membership ( i hope i am not wrong here!)
Also recently read somewhere that 10,000pts actually earns Gold Status Le Club Accor so this would be a great start for parents ^ Next stage , Platinum is 25,000 pts which is the top tier
