My sister came into town to visit me with one of her friends. They rented a car at LAX. Just looking at their contract and nearly wet my pants. They rental rate was $168 for the few days they will be here. But get this... on top of the rental rate was a $400 charge for every type of insurance on the planet. I asked my sister about it and she replied "the guy said insurance was mandatory". Unreal. Are people THAT stupid? Her GEICO policy covers rentals.
