Other than, as noted above and as I've previously experienced, an F passenger who arrives late and has no space. I have a couple of these rare blue "Gate Delivery" tags hanging from my bag's handle.
But this isn't unique to the E series - I've seen this happen with all mainline aircraft. As noted above - that's how these are classified.
