You can't make any of those 1x a day departures from SEA. What's really weird is that the 7am MFR departure is a plane that is at MFR overnight.
Do other QX cities have inconvenient morning schedules like this?
Is there a way to help Alaska see the light and schedule MFR-SEA to depart earlier?
Here is the issue when traveling west to east....
You have only 3 windows for connections:
option 1: early AM departure (6am-9am) go to east coast city, then through partners you could connect to final destination and get in around 5pm-8pm.
option 2: late AM departure (11am-1pm) through connections you get to your final east coast destination around (9pm-midnight)
option 3: late PM red eye flight (leave 11pm-1am) and through connections you get to your final destination around (9am-11am)
With option 2 if they pushed the connection more to 10am or 11am then you are looking at an all day of flying getting to your final destination around 10pm or later.
They may be wanting to limit who can make the connection in order to measure the market dynamics better. Maybe they plan on adding a similar flight from Portland in the future.
