Hi Tonei!
Thanks for your response.
I have a couple of questions about your solution:
1. Does this mean, I'll still use 439 flight miles, instead of minimum 500 miles? Even as stated on webpage of airline partners, I'll earn 500 minimum miles on flights less than 500 miles?
2. How did you come up to 361 bonus miles? How was that calculated?
Thanks!
based on my understanding of the rules....
On Alaska all flights of under 500 miles you get 500 miles credit which counts to status.
439---this rounds up to 500 then tack on 250 miles 50% bonus for status.
this would give you 750 miles of which 439 are actual miles and then 311 bonus that gives you 750. The actual mile credit that counts toward miles status next year would be 500 miles, the 250 bonus miles do not count.
On top of that because of class of service/ticket class you get some sort of bonus. This should be based on the actual miles credited---so if its 10% then its 10% of 500 or 50 miles added on.
61 (round up to 500) + 250 bonus+ 50 (fare class bonus)= 361
