I am AAdvanatage Gold and was wondering if anyone has experience trying to go standby with BA. Details: I am holding a mileage saver award ticket using AA points going from AMS-LHR-JFK and want to arrive in JFK earlier in the same day. Thus, I am wondering will BA allow me to go standby on an earlier flight? I am not changing the date or destination. I know that AA will allow me on the flight from LHR-JFK even if there isn't award space, I'm just not sure about the AMS-LHR segment operated by BA.
