Update, landed BKK on time (before 12.30) on QR, was a very long walk from C7 to fast track immigration, luggage was already arriving within the first 20 bags.
Was at WE check in around 1pm, had 41kg, showed ROP silver and was informed had 10 kgs excess luggage, 550THB to pay at nearby Thai ticketing.
in line 4 people, took less than 10 minutes, back to check in to receive boarding card. Still had more than 60 minutes to connecting flight.

Will do the same on next trip to Europe.
