I recently stayed at Harrah's Las Vegas and noticed that the bed in the suite was a little smaller than the standard size king (I used a 8.5"x11" notepad to measure).

I wasn't really disappointed with it, I just wanted to get one myself! The only reason I noticed was because I was shopping for a king size mattress for a new condo, and having something in between a king and queen would save me an extra 15"-20" of valuable space.
