Our kids are used to travel, and we did something similar in China (landing in PVG and taking a train straight to Xuzhou). We'd like to get to Izumo ASAP, since the kids will be super excited to see their friends.

We'll flying with Turkish Airlines - I think we'll make a back up reservation in Narita in case of IRROP. I can cancel before getting on the flight at Istanbul.

I'm not so kin on flying again the next day because the time you use to fly (getting to the airport, waiting to check-in, boarding......) is troublesome, and going to Haneda is a hassle too.

I saw that another option will be taking the bullet train.

These are the options and I saw that it takes 6 hours on a bullet train with 1 change.
