My flight into MSP today is delayed and the connection time will be about 40 minutes (assuming it doesn't get further delayed). I'm in C+ on a CRJ900, just one backpack as the carryon, supposedly arriving at C16, the departure will be out of G21.

The walk between those gates should be about 10 minutes or so. Use the moving walkway between the C and G concourses. You're coming in a C gate near the moving walkway and leaving from a G gate near the moving walk way, so it looks like you should be okay.

Last year I had short connection between a C gate and an international flight leaving from a low G number. The first flight was delayed. That was problematic and full of running and flagging down a cart. I got a cart to pick me up and take me, but the driver stopped for some other passengers who were leaving from F. I had planned on tipping the cart driver, but the other passengers pulled out some bills and the cart driver left me in the shopping mall area to run to G9 as they were calling flight out overhead. Needless to say, I didn't tip him.
