Is there a reason to prefer re-issue over a revalidation in that circumstance?
LAN don't tend to (well, hardly ever!) do Revalidations. In my experience it would always have been a reissue. In this case I have a feeling that the OP could be dealing with 3 separate e-tkt numbers for each passenger. 1. The Originally booked sectors. 2. The rescheduled flight that LAN arranged and 3. The Renegotiated and flown sector.
