Yup, there sure are a bunch of new tolls around the MIA airport. In the "old days," there was only one toll on 836 but now, it seems, every portion of the road is tolled.

And, you're right about Avios and MIA. It's about 10x easier finding Avios award tickets into MIA as into FLL. It's unfortunate, but that what it is.
