The wife and I are thinking about taking a week long trip from RDU to Hawaii in September or December. I was hoping to get some tips/advice/suggestions on where to go, which of these two months would be better, etc. A couple of items to consider:

-GM now, will be PM sometime in July. If I book a trip now, can I elect RUCs and apply to trip then? Would I need to use one for both myself and wife, or does one apply to both of us?
-I read on DL's website that you must go through LAX or SEA to use RUCs to HNL or OGG. As such, we may want to stop and spend a day in LA (my wife has always wanted to visit) - is this possible?
-I am looking to stay in a SPG property, but can start a separate thread in the SPG forum for more info there, though.

Any insights you could give me would be great!
