True, but you can have whatever upgrade system you want and reward whichever elite level you want, but if you don't have the programming to support it, then you basically have a system where all status levels are equal (which is in a sense, what we have now with the AS system).
Yup as I mentioned before US had the same issue when it became T-24. First-come, first-serve with the F seats. If a F seat is available at the time of check-in you can choose the seat on the seat map and claim it.
