Please tell me we haven't made an unfixable error - Avios booking

I've been stuck at work and unable to do the BAEC booking prior to the change at midnight. So, I asked my partner to book it...
I've just spoken to her and she said she's made a mistake.
She's booked a flight that departs and returns next April (2016). However, the return date is incorrect! She said that she noticed the incorrect date once she received the confirmation email, so she went through the booking system again to see if there was a glitch. At which point she realised that the return date she thought she selected was greyed out and is not available for booking. The system must have selected the last available return date instead.
As the date that she wants to return was not available today when booking, can it be changed to that date at a later time. The date she wants is just less than a year from today's date, i.e. 23 April 2016
I do hope that makes sense!
