I tend to agree with Wozza2404 from my minimal experience on the 380 in CW [see link to my HNL TR in my signature]. OK, I've been spoiled by predominantly 744 UD experience, but apart from the noise level on the A380 UD there were certainly some 'service' issues.

I gather [was it a CC comment posted here?] that on the A380 they now don't serve from carts, but instead deliver your tray/plate by hand from the galley. This is apparently intended to create a more 'personal' service, but of course means that an extra trip to the galley is required for beverages ... and so things seem to get rather bogged down!

Doing it again (A380 UD, in 53B) in June on a simple LHR-IAD: I will see how that compares to the much longer LHR-LAX.
