I have just spent 6 nights in the Novotel Ploenchit, I can say I was impressed by the staff, really careful and considerate. Plat benefits were recognised without issue. Got upgraded upon arrival, welcome drinks, lounge access etc.
It is really just at the foot of the BTS station and not a bad place for shopping.
