Seconded! People still don't realise the danger. I would have been pretty upset if people in front of me were sliding down with their hand-luggage.
And like with many negligible dangers, they probably never will - what with people doing this time and time again and always coming out perfectly fine.
(Before someone decides to lecture me, I'm perfectly aware of the risks and have never evacuated a plane lugging a suitcase behind me!)
