May I ask if your evaluation is based on very recent trips or not? The reason I ask is that AF has very significantly improved its European C offer since the start of the summer season (effectively, since they stopped offering the same service to C and full fare Y passengers!): completely new seats (which I have not tried but which have received rave reviews on FT including by people who have been historically very severe with AF), much improved catering, significantly improved wine list, etc.

By the way, re-CDG I completely disagree with you. I find it a very convenient to connect at by now as long as it doesn't involve regional flights from terminal 2G. Connections are much faster than at LHR and I actually even prefer them to AMS at the moment (although that will change when AMS finally inaugurate centralise security which I believe will make them best in class).

More generally, in my view, the best European C cabins are with TK and SU, and then the next league would be OS, IB, TP. I would then put KL, AF, AZ, LX. Then BA, LH and a few more. BA used to be much higher up on my list, but the new cabins which I find uncomfortable, afternoon tea, and the increasing limitations of catering loads which mean that you end up not having any choice by row 3 or 4 have made it slip to the 4th tier in my view.
