I just called asking the same question. I've been MVP Gold with Alaska for years and since my new company is based in Denver, I thought I might be flying Frontier more.

The lady on the phone gave me a flat 'no' and was quite rude. Not a great way to treat someone that flys over 50K a year on short routes. I guess I'll only use them if I absolutely have to because of routing or flights.
