+1. Some people don't travel enough for dual status but if you can that's the way to go.

I am diamond with Hilton and Hyatt, Being a Delta diamond I get crossover benefits with SPG which includes free wifi, a GUARANTEED 4 p.m. checkout (something Hilton doesn't give me as a diamond), and upgrades (I've traveled with SPG gold's before and received the same upgrades they have and once in a while lounge access). My wife has Marriott Gold gifted to her as a benefit of her United 1K status so I am pretty covered.

If I know I require a 4 p.m. checkout or higher speed wifi the stay goes to SPG or Hyatt if there is a property near where I am at. In some locations Hilton is the best or only choice.
