So if Delta can capture an extra $200 why wouldn't they? They are fine letting AA and UA capture the "low fruit" and waiting out until the other carriers fill up.
Exactly. On many of the routes I fly I find DL to be usually more expensive. Since their planes are full and they are charging more, they appear at the moment to be better at revenue mgmt than their competitors (albeit only based on the routes on which I travel/my observations).
