Its possible that if you had originally been booked separate you may never have been offered the POU. This is because it could be the POU was a promotion targeted at say your wife, so when the booking is split you dont see it in your pnr.
I dont have a problem with targeted offers, however in this instance I was targetted and then took steps to take up the offer only for it to dissapear....as I said it just hard work dealing with them.
