My wife is on 699 right now, connecting to 151. 699 was delayed >1:30 departing YYT (mechanical); 151 is also showing delayed (30 minutes), with 699 showing 11:21 at the gate and 151 showing 11:30 departure. Sounds like a missed connection unless 151 is further delayed.

My wife has a lot of anxiety when flying (and medicates for it but helps somewhat) and never flies alone anymore. We were scheduled to go to YVR in about 10 days, but her mother is ill and she felt she needed to go now.

I understand AC will put her up in YYZ for the night, but if she has to wait a long time and/or is rebooked on a very early flight, it won't be good (for her). If I call, will they be reasonable and book her on a later flight. She will need an aisle seat. Any advice from anyone with similar experience.

I called the concierge number, and while sympathetic (and after consulting her manager), she said they couldn't help as she is not SE and not flying with me. I was hoping they could meet her at the gate with rebooking info, vouchers, etc. Guess that was expecting too much (wondering when the day will ever come I'll need to avail of having them book me a table at a restaurant or tickets to a play).

Maybe I just needed to rant before I call AC, but if anyone has useful advice in the next 30 minutes or so, I'd much appreciate it.
