If both are valued at 1.6cents per point, Prestige's TYPs should get the push, since they can be used on ANY AA flight and get miles/points/status.
Well the 1.6 point/valuation of AA miles includes the fact that they can only be used on some flights and you don't earn miles on those flights. But the flip side is that you can get a $15k first class ticket for 135k miles, which you certainly cannot get for 135k TYPs. My recommendation to get the TYPs in this case is simply based on 3>2.
