I spoke to the web help desk in Dallas today and they said the issue mainly effects Diamond and Platinum flyers...IT has known about the issue for 2 weeks and yes the fix did not work.....
for my upcoming trip which has 6 segments, I can view seats on segments 2 and 3 only..all the others get the "i'm sorry" error message
For those of you that buy first class tickets and like row 1 there is another glitch on both delta.com and the web app(when it works)
It involves "tickets already bought" verses tickets you are "viewing to buy"...someone in IT accidentally blocked out all ROW 1 seats in First class mistaking them for disability seats which they are not...IT does not know how to fix it...the seats do open 24 hours before departure as well as anytime before and during initial purchase...but are accidentally blocked for everyone "post" purchase....so if you like the bulkhead you have to select it at purchase, call Delta or select 24 hours before departure if still available..
Delta IT has really screwed up the seating in more ways than one....
