I just want to be clear here because I think I read your question a bit differently than the previous responders. Did you book two tickets - one for you and one for your companion? Or did you buy two tickets for yourself? If the former, you will need to cancel the companion's original paid ticket now that you have separately added your companion to your own reservation. If the latter, its seems you already have everything covered.
