r is it better to stay in Salzburg and just make it a day trip.
during the Octoberfest i was stay in HI Salzburg at this time and take the Train to Munich.
There is a Ticket: https://fahrkarten.bahn.de/privatkun...en&country=USA
Please note you need an additional Ticket for Public Transport in Salzburg City!
