Had a very interesting exchange last night regarding the price of the room including a club level upgrade. We are staying at the Aruba property in late July. When I booked the rate, the room was 449 but has since dropped to 399. I called RC to see if they would reduce my rate. The RC rep told me that this was not possible because the price to upgrade to the club level didn't change. I explained that we booked the standard rate room, then applied the upgrade. Again, she told me that I was mistaken and this was an "unpublished rate that can only be seen by RC once you call in." Thinking this was a mistake, I said thank you and called back to speak to someone else. Again, same message with the second rep. I asked to speak to the supervisor for additional clarification. Again, same message. Apparently, the club level price, even though you book the standard room, is not always the same price. It's booking code is its own price that is not visible.

Thought it was an interesting exchange because that had never been explained to me.
