Well, I s'pose every once in a while a UPC scan error favors the customer rather than the store as well, but the overall game doesn't look favorable. DL awards have long been overpriced relative to distance for Mexico and the Caribbean. They also want top dollar on some of 'em for paid tickets due to lack of competition, so the loads can't be great, especially in off-peak times.

OTOH, those same off-peak times are generally eligible for Spirit and their credit card deal, so my most recent redemptions to that part of the world include 10K RT for SJD, SJO, CTG and STT and 5K for CUN. The Spirit deals aren't always easy to book and, well, it's Spirit, but sometimes it works out OK. Dunno if JetBlue and Frontier are also becoming formidable competition but the possibility exists.

The flip side with DL, of course, is getting taken to the cleaners on Europe and Asia (am in the familiar annual battle now to do a summer trip at reasonable mileage cost).
