Answer - finally received metal RC Visa cards. And holy crap batman, are these things heavy. I was always impressed with my metal MR Visa card, but this thing is insane! It's so heavy, JP Morgan includes a postage-free mailer to send the cards back once they've expired since its looks like it's nearly impossible to destroy them. No way will these cards go through a shredder like the MR Cards could. Very impressed!
one of mine got frauded, so I figured "what the hell" and went to town on it with a pair of pliers and bent it all to hell. they're tough.
MR card is metal core, Ritz and palladium cards are a solid steel card.
