If the OP can continue comped Marriott Gold via the airline status, I'd use that as the big footprint backup. rather than spending 75 nights in Marriotts for Plat, go with SPG as the secondary program if their locations generally work. There are many more Starwoods than Hyatts and I find them generally more interesting than Marriotts.
