Yeah it may well be a sign of things to come for other markets.

IHG Platinum was not really great for me, even when i purchased Platinum Ambassador upgrade... I never saw the inside of a club lounge... Basically got key rings and power adapters as gifts at Intercon and some fruit. No loss to me.

As of today, HK Centurion primary card holders get these (Emirates is Skywards Gold Status):
