CIBC offers their Aero Platinum card to Students: https://www.cibc.com/ca/visa/aero-pl...dent-card.html.

Compared to the TD Platinum Card:
-the base earnings rate on this card is the same as the TD card - 1 mile for every $1.50 in purchases
-there is no miles bonus on gas groceries and drug stores, unlike the TD card
-the initial sign up bonus is lower than the comparable TD card (5000 miles vs. 10000/15000)
-the annual fee is $39, which is $50/yr cheaper than the TD card

Unfortunately CIBC discontinued their non-Infinite Aerogold card earlier this year - the Infinite version of the card has a fairly firm minimum income requirement.
